Welcome! My name is Kim and Red Butterfly Effect is an outlet for me to ramble and rant about politics and/or pop culture.
Hopefully there will be frequent ramblings, musings and rants not only about politics, pop culture, music, media, books, tv, movies, society, revolution, socialism and everyday life but also pretty much anything else I find interesting. The broader aim of this blog will be to explore, dissect and discuss the intersection of politics and pop culture and in general these ramblings, musing and rants will be informed by a materialist and dialectical understanding of the society we live in.
Some posts will offer a more substantial political analysis about current political happenings, social phenomenon, pop culture or whatever else takes my interest, however, other posts will not be as substantial and might just be about taking the piss, having a laugh and sharing things I love and enjoy, warts and all.
While Red Butterfly Effect is a new endeavour for me, I have been a blogger for the last 13 years and have been blogging politically for 10 years at Live from Occupied Palestine - a blog dedicated to Palestine solidarity activism. You can check out Live from Occupied Palestine via the blogroll section on this blog.
